Sadly, Ed Sheahen passed away August 23th, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center. I have decided to maintain this blog as a memorial for my Dad. Please post as you wish, and remember him in your heart forever.

Want to send a Note to Ed?
So I might be going a little crazy on the note thing, but this whole blogging thing is therapeutic to me. I need to get some sleep so I will make this short. Do you have a message for my Dad? Maybe a note to cheer him up, or funny story you remember about him. I am going to make a book for him, and let him know he has all this support. Just add your message to the comment on this note. Thanks so much! Your kind words and thoughts will be greatly appreciated! Those of you who sent notes-could you copy and paste them on the blog? I am trying to get a book started for him. Just ad this to the comment of this blog. Thanks~

Dear Carly:
I just wrote you a long note and then had to sign in for the blog and lost the whole thing.
Suffice it to say that, as part of the class of '72, we are all pulling and praying for Ed Bear and for you and your family. Please let Ed know that I wrote and that I remember jovial spirit. We are all wishing him strength and health and thank you for giving us your thoughts and feelings. You have touched me and I hope that someday we can meet. Thanks!
Eddie and family,
I just found out the news of what you have all been through and we are keeping ed in our prayers. Ed has had a tremendous influence on me in my life. I never make it far without thinking of a funny story about him or something he taught me. I can speak for our whole class by saying playing ball for eddie was the greatest time we have had in sports. He taught us the game of basketball but more importantly he taught us to how to be tough and work our tail off.
In the last few years I see ed at all our playoff basketball games. To see him there supporting us means to world to my brother and I. I could go on for days about ed. All of you will continue to remain in our prayers!!

Ed and family,
Ed, get well soon. You and your family are in my prayers. I have to believe with your stubborness you will whip this and be on your feet soon. The Cubs need your support down the stretch run so get well and out of that hospital.
Carly,
Thanks for your blog. I appreciate the update and your writing is very touching. It is very evident the love your family shares.

Dear Ed,
You've got a sellout crowd out here all rooting for you to pull through this terrible mess you've gotten yourself into. Carly has the entire CHS Class of '72 rallying behind you and it's obvious how much she and your entire family love you and need you to beat this. Besides, the Cubs have a real shot at winning a World Series for the first time in 100 years and I know there's no way you're going to miss that. And I need you to help organize the softball and golf outings for our next class reuion. Praying hard for you, buddy.

Dear Carly, Katie, and Sam
I have been praying for your dad ever since Katie told me he was sick. I'm praying with my whole heart that God will be there for your dad and all of you! Your dad is such a nice man and he has alot to live for his wonderful children and grandchildren. If there is anything we can do to help please let us know! Once again our prayers are all with your family.
Love
Sandy, Duane, Tory and Noah
I wish I was there! Your Dad has been in our thoughts and prayers. I keep forgetting that you guys aren't the little girls I left when I moved out to Phoenix. I know my brother is so very proud of you - you're amazing. You have been so strong for him.
I love of all of you!
